Hmmm, it looks like a good time was had!
Nice pictures, too...but something looks just a bit suspicious, I think you guys are conspiring against the rest of us for control of the guitar building world! Never trust three luthiers having dinner!

Why do I feel like I have a hang over I didn’t drink a thing!

Hesh, Lacey and Paul, thanks for coming over for diner! We had a wonderful time!

So much guitar fondleing went on that it was almost sensory over load! I was really bumbed that I didnt have the 12 fret burst done, Tony did a freshen up for me and I have yet to glue the bridge back on.

Heshs guitars are built as tight and clean as any I’ve ever seen. The redwood/rw was very warm almost cedar like. The parabolic we all agreed had nice midrange and highs, but lacked in the low end, that said, none of us really "got on it" with a pick, I would have liked to do that to hear it with a little drive, I suspect it would have added to the whole spectrum of sound. Laceys parabolic bird was killer!

Paul’s guitars were SO so much nicer looking in person. I told Paul that is "rosetteless' guitars seen on his website looked to me to be very under appointed, to plain for my taste, but in person, there gorgeous! All the curves have meaning, the headstock, bridge, fretboard end and end graph share the same curves, its really quit cool. The sound hole binding looks really nice in person, way better then in pictures.

This morning Paul headed out around 9:00 AM for another
7 hours on the road, that should put him in Toronto, then from there he'll head to Montreal. Too much driving for me!

All in all, a wonderful time, great guitars and even better company!

Bob, Heah and Lacey, well see ya the end of this month!

So I heard from the grapevine that this thread existed but I couldn't find it, 'till Hesh helped me out a bit.
So my late but allbeit factual critique: Lance's work was extremely tight and clean. The whole time I was looking at it, I kept thinking about that picture of him on his bio page where his nose it inches away from the binding he's working on. That's what the whole guitar looked like. Like he was working with a magnifying glass to get the details just right. Very clean and tight and the sound was HUGE.
Hesh on the other hand builds JUNK.    I really liked teh two he built. As Lance said, we all sort of agreed that the parabolic guitar lacked a bit of bass but it had tons of headroom. I really would have liked to strum that thing with a Canadian $2 coin and see what she was REALLY made of. Hesh is doing some very great work too. Especially since he hasn't been at it all that long.
And to Serge: as I was passing Ottawa, it was all I could do to not turn left and kidnap you and MAKE you go to the show. Next time...

Hey hey Paul, glad you're back in great shape bud! I wish i could have went but the budget is tight since i'm going to Fort Erie at the end of the month and just had a set BRW have my name on it! But next year's show in Montreal is in my agenda for sure, i'd really like to meet you in person my friend!
